LAND was born with the aim to produce quality bean-to-bar chocolate that champions the world’s finest cacao and the people who grow it.

From humble beginnings, Land has gone on to win numerous awards. Still made in London’s East End, it is enjoyed across the globe – from Paris to Tokyo, and, of course, at cecilycane.com!

It was a trip to Guatemala, Central America, in 2012 that set Phil Landers, founder of LAND, on the path to chocolate. On the trip, Phil discovered the raw origins of chocolate – the cacao bean – and on his return to the UK started to explore making his own chocolate in his kitchen. This led to a complete career change, leaving a production job at the BBC to further refine his craft at renowned chocolatiers, Mast Brothers. In 2016 Phil took the leap and, repurposing an old-furniture makers workshop in Bethnal Green, London, began his own chocolate workshop. With the business acumen of co-founder Kirsten, LAND Chocolate was born and the brand has continued to flourish.
